Hit the snooze button on prayer? Not today!
Daily communion with God helps keep harmony, not discord, at the forefront of our experience.
Crisp morning sunshine was streaming into my bedroom. The first thought I had on waking was that it was a gorgeous winter’s day. Then—even better—I remembered that I was on vacation! The university where I was enrolled in a graduate program was shut for winter break, and I had a whole week of freedom. No classes and no work.
In fact, all I had scheduled for that day was something very pleasant, a trip to a museum with a friend.
“So I don’t really need to pray today,” came the next thought. “Maybe I should take a day off. Just relax and get an extra hour of sleep instead.”
