I have been so, so helped by the article “I choose Love” by Steve Henn that appeared in the November 15 issue of the Sentinel [“United through the Bible”].
After my mother’s passing, I found in her apartment a small red box with letters that she had saved from her active correspondence with friends and family.

Fresh light on Peru

This past summer I was on a community service trip to Peru with some of my high school friends.
For years I would react to stress with insomnia, and, when I did sleep, I was often awakened by frightening dreams and images that even had me bolting out of bed, heart racing, as if someone or something were lurking in the shadows.
It was a perfect spring day in Washington, DC.
Most of my family attended a Christian Science church when I was a child.
