The listening ear

Roseann Hall

A moment chosen to commune with God,
Oft within a quiet room,
Or midst the noise of many voices.

God's voice—so loud and clear—
Comes through silence or commotion
When sought and listened for.

We need not wait to be alone,
His voice is always here to end confusion
And leave us with the sound
that stills the world.
