LETTERS

A sincere thank you to Mark Swinney for his article "The Father's welcome home" in the December 15, 2008, Sentinel ("Modern-day prodigal son"). I love the way he goes step by step with examples and clear logic to lead us to the truth that we may make mistakes, but when we are ready to let go of these misguided beliefs and actions, our Father, Love, is right there with open arms, and showers of good for us. I so appreciate the inspiration and the useful truths that pervade this article, and intend to keep it to reread frequently.

I also must give thanks for Tom Black's article in the same issue, "Bikes and healing." What a strong statement of the strength and inestimable worth of Christian Science and its superiority over any mortal invention. But he makes it clear that "those who cherish the holy laws of the Christ are wise to be at least as awake to the value of the system God has given the world through them, and to organize as effectively to defend and advance it."

I'm so grateful to these writers for their strong, straightforward, indestructible truths!
