FREEDOM FROM DIGESTIVE DIFFICULTIES

Several years ago, I went overseas on a business trip. On my return trip to the US I started to have digestive problems. I found myself visiting the bathroom frequently, and I wasn't able to eat normally.

When I returned to the office the following day, my manager noticed my distress and speculated that I must have picked up parasites on my trip. She told me this problem should be taken care of through medical treatment. While I appreciated her obvious care for my physical condition, I felt confident relying completely on Christianly scientific prayer for a cure. My conviction was based on an understanding that God is all-powerful and good, and on previous healings I'd experienced. So I thanked my manager for her concern and mentioned that I'd be relying on Christian Science for healing.

I'd begun to pray when the symptoms started, and had felt better initially, but when they persisted, I contacted a Christian Science practitioner and asked him to pray with me.
