LETTERS

I work for a benevolent organization that helps individuals who are depending on Christian Science for healing. Recently, we have been receiving more calls than usual from people who have lost their jobs. Some have received foreclosure notices on their homes and are fearful about what they would do without a home for their family.

The September 28 issue of the Sentinel on debt was an answer to prayer the day it arrived at the office. The article "To truly 'spread the wealth'" by Mark Strickland was so inspiring. I must have read it aloud five or six times to callers that day. All expressed such gratitude for the article. I especially loved it when he said, "We each have our own morning 'freight train,' filled with spiritually sustaining ideas, an over-abundance of good."

The next article in that same issue, "Trust in the Lord and do good," was also extremely helpful. Nancy Reinert said that she and her husband decided not to think of money as the primary reason or motive for doing anything, and that they wanted "God, not money, to govern their thought."
