My Christmas healing

During Christmas time a couple of years ago, my hands were very dry and badly chapped. Although I felt no pain or discomfort, people were commenting about it, and it wasn't easy to forget about it. I had put some lotion on my hands, but it didn't seem to help and I stopped using it. I had learned in the Christian Science Sunday School that God made everything good and that as His child, I could trust Him to love me. So I knew I could pray. My mother and father were also aware of the situation and they were praying for me, but everyone was very busy at the time preparing for a Christmas concert, among other things.

I often prayed the Daily Prayer by Mary Baker Eddy. I have a copy of it hanging on the wall of my room. It goes like this:

"'Thy kingdom come; let the reign of divine Truth, Life, and Love be established in me, and rule out of me all sin; and may Thy Word enrich the affections of all mankind, and govern them!" (Manual of The Mother Church, p. 41).
