Celebrating life

Sentinel Radio broadcast

WHEN MY FATHER PASSED ON, I WAS A SOPHOMORE IN HIGH SCHOOL.

It was a big shock to our family, and particularly difficult for me. We'd been really close. It was so hard not having him around, and I sort of withdrew. I'd smile and pretend to be happy, but inside I just felt sad. My grades dropped, I was ill a lot, and I stopped doing many activities.

I never blamed God or doubted His care for our family, or His love for me. But I didn't really consider turning to Him. I think I forgot how.
