When I went to camp

I love to go to summer camp. Last summer I jumped on the water trampoline, swam in the lake, met new friends, and rode my horse, Silver.

One morning I was in my cabin on my top bunk when I fell off the bed. I had been trying to reach my favorite stuffed animal, a duck named Quacker.

I hit my eye on the bedpost and could not see out of it. At camp, I was always encouraged to pray if I was hurt or in trouble, so I did. I started to think about how much God loved me, and that He was caring for me. I also asked my counselor for a book I love to read, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. It talks about God and has ideas that always help me feel better. I read silently for a couple of minutes, and then asked an adult friend there, who is a Christian Science practitioner, to pray for me. Soon I could see out of the eye! I was grateful to God.
