A book that's your friend

"That's it!" I said to myself as I finished reading this Kids' Sentinel. "This whole magazine is really about Science and Health — the book that's a friend to every kid in the world—from Africa to Europe to North America to Latin America."

Of course, when you think about it, every week's Sentinel is about Mary Baker Eddy's book on Christian Science—Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures. Because every Sentinel introduces you to people who are reading the book—and learning to help and heal themselves and others. But this week, you'll meet kids who read the book! Kids who tell, in their own voices, what a difference the ideas in Science and Health have made in their lives.

Take Olympic gold medal gymnast Shannon Miller, who wrote "Bounce, flip, and soar!" on page 2. Now, Shannon's not a kid anymore. But she tells about how she started gymnastics when she was five years old and then worked and practiced and prayed all the way to becoming a world-class athlete.
