I was so glad to read Marilyn Jones's article, "The search for God—like coming home," in the March 8 issue. It answered a question that I have had for some time regarding why so many of the 1960s and '70s generation felt lost. As she said in the article, "... all the familiar reference points" were either gone or blurred to the point that people felt directionless.
For a long time I felt that I had somehow done something dreadfully wrong by challenging everything I had been taught as a child. This led me to make mistakes. But through Christian Science and the kind of thinking found in Marilyn's article, I am seeing more and more that these mistakes, when learned from not repeated, are part of my path Godward.
