DIRECT ACCESS to God—even in prison

Alicia Sanchez Alivarez, from Jalisco, Mexico, was accused and convicted of a crime she hadn't committed. This led her to seek help from God. When she came across the book Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy in the small prison library one day, her life changed. She came to see more clearly that she had direct access to God and His power.The following is an interview that the Spanish magazine El Heraldo de la Christian Science conducted with Alvarez.

What changes did you experience while you were in prison?

At first, I didn't understand Science and Health and simply held to the words. But, as I studied it more deeply, I understood it better, and I endeavored to fill my heart with love. I realized that this was fundamental—to feel love and respect for everything, and to be grateful for God's great blessings.
