What would YOU do?
At the end of the school year, our German and homeroom teacher, who we really liked a lot, left our school. We got a new teacher for the next year. She seemed to be the opposite of the former teacher. We felt she didn't treat us fairly. She was curt with us. It was difficult to have a good discussion with her. When I spoke up for my classmates, she would always say, "Aina, don't argue with me!" Because of that, I had a big problem with her. I felt it couldn't go on like this much longer, and I was quite desperate.
After I talked about this with my family, I began to see that prayer was the only thing that could help me. As I prayed, it became clearer to me that this teacher was a child of God, just like my classmates and I were. I tried to think of her with love. Sometimes this was easier said than done. But at least I wasn't getting involved in arguments with her so often.
When she became better at connecting with us and showed more understanding, I knew my prayer had made a difference.
