Pet stories
My mom called me to come into her bedroom. I saw a red light. It turned out to be a heat lamp over a little cage. My cockatiel, Cody, was in there. But there was something wrong. He had no tail feathers, and he had no back feathers. His whole body was red where he didn't have any feathers. It turned out that my dog, Little Bear, had gotten him in the night.
I was praying. Then I went to find Little Bear and tell him everything was OK. I didn't blame him. I knew that God was always taking care of all of us.
At first Cody couldn't eat anything, but he drank a lot. I read stories to him about God. Soon he started eating again. I thought about the 23rd Psalm where it says, "Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil." Cody was like that. He had no fear. He acted normal.
