My friend the Bible
The stories in the Bible have always had a special appeal for me, because many of the people in them had such a close connection with God.
This wasn't always apparent to me when I first heard these stories as I was growing up in Mexico. I saw Bible characters as fairytale figures, not real-life people.
It wasn't until I went to Sunday School and learned about the spiritual journeys these people had to make, and the tests they had to go through, that the stories in the Bible began to come alive for me and give me an example to follow.
