Help from God brings healing and protection

I was introduced to spiritual healing when my eldest sister was healed of a terminal illness through reading Science and Health. I began reading something about it just to broaden my horizon.

After graduating from high school, I chose to study pharmaceutics. At that time I suffered great pain every time I had my monthly period. One day I remember taking aspirin but finding the pain becoming more severe instead of easing. I was alone at home and was about to faint, when I cried out to God for help. These words from Science and Health came to me: "Become conscious for a single moment that Life and intelligence are purely spiritual,—neither in nor of matter,—and the body will then utter no complaints" (p. 14). At that very moment I understood that I was spiritual, created by God, and could not suffer. The discomfort disappeared so suddenly that I was in awe. In one instant I was in great pain, and in the next instant the pain was completely gone. This healing inspired me to study Science and Health more seriously.
