What would YOU do?

Here's what happened to my brother Joe and me at the bus stop. A boy would not stop staring at my brother's shirt. Then, the boy's friend said, "You two are weird." When we got on the bus, they made Joe sit in a particular seat. They continued to say and do mean stuff. I told the bus driver, and she told them to stop.

On the walk home, Joe asked me not to tell our mom what had happened, but I thought we should tell her. She said that it wasn't right for those older boys to be acting that way. You see, my brother is only 6, and the boys were both 11or 12-year-olds.

My mom called the vice principal the next morning, and the vice principal called us in to talk about this problem. Then she talked to the boys. They each drew a picture and wrote Joe a note. The notes said that they were sorry and they wanted to be friends.
