Cholla, the snake, healed

I have a pet gopher snake, and her name is Cholla. One day my dad and I saw that one of Cholla's eyes had blood in it. She probably couldn't see out of it. So we prayed for her.

I like where it tells in the book Science and Health by Mary Baker Eddy about the perfect God and His perfect idea, which is what we are (see p. 259). This time, I thought about how it was a perfect God and a perfect snake, because snakes are God's ideas, too. An idea is a thought God has. We (and snakes) are God's spiritual creations.

I thought about how God already knows that His creation is perfect. Nothing needs to get fixed in God's creation because nothing is wrong in it. If God was spiritual and perfect, I thought, it made sense that my snake, Cholla, was perfect and spiritual, too. Cholla was God's idea.

Not long after that, there was not even a microscopic bit of blood or any sign of injury in Cholla's eye. She was just fine. We take her out of her cage often and play with her. She really likes that.
