My healing
Once my family and I were going out to shop. Rhodie, our pet dog, had escaped from the backyard. My dad told me to get Rhodie and put her back where she belonged.
I got Rhodie and pulled her by her collar through the door in the garage to the backyard. When I shut the door to the garage, I shut my pinkie in the door. I yelled, "OUCH!" I opened the door quickly to get my finger out.
Dad came over to see what had happened. My finger was numb and it hurt. We prayed together. Dad told me that God would never let anything bad happen to me.
In Sunday School I had learned that ". . . man is not material; he is spiritual" (Science and Health, p. 468). I kept thinking that I was not material. I was spiritual. And because I was spiritual, I could not be hurt.
After I was done putting Rhodie in the backyard, I got into the car to go shopping. As soon as I got in the car, the pain was all gone.
I love God a lot. AND I MEAN IT!!
