Practical help from God

Original in Portuguese

I was finishing up my college degree. I wanted to participate in an international meeting for university students and faculty. But I had discarded the idea, since I didn't have the financial means to travel abroad.

A friend then reminded me of things I knew in theory, about spirituality, that I would be able to prove in a practical way, namely: that everything is possible to God, that there are no obstacles for Him, that God has infinite resources to bless us with, and that progress is a divine law. My friend also made me see that if my desire to go to this meeting was sincere, and had the purpose of blessing others with what I would learn there, the trip had to be in line with God's will. Therefore, it would be fulfilled.

I spoke to my husband about the situation. He thought that the most costly part of this project would be the airfare, which could be covered by frequent flyer vouchers he'd earned while traveling on business. The airline confirmed this. So we made a reservation.
