Shingles gone in two days

I have lived to an advanced age with very few illnesses, through my practice of Christian Science. I had a healing of influenza in 1918. Another healing took place a few years ago, when I felt a sudden stab of pain above my knee. I found several red spots on my leg. My husband insisted on my going to a doctor, who diagnosed the condition as shingles. He said I could expect to have recurrences all my life.

I really couldn't accept this and rejected the possibility that I would have shingles—then or ever. This was because I knew that God had created me; and He hadn't created shingles. I kept praying, vigorously resisting the difficulty.

The doctor gave me a prescription for pain, which I did not have filled.

My gratitude is unbounded for the consciousness of ever-present Love.

The pain was over in an hour, and the red spots disappeared permanently two days later. I feel that this quick healing was due to my determined persistence with Truth.
