I COMMUNITY WATCH

God's answer to burglary

The police didn't think I would get my power tools back.

As I was leaving for work one morning, I discovered that several of my power tools were missing from the garage. I felt shocked to realize I'd been robbed, and foolish for having left the garage door unlocked. Then I started getting mad at the person or persons who had taken my tools. I even began suspecting certain neighbors. I even felt a bit violated as I thought of people having helped themselves to my things.

When I reported the theft to the police, the only advice the responding officer could give me was to keep the garage door locked in the future. He didn't offer hope that I would get my tools back.

Having come to rely on God's help for many years, I knew I could turn to Him for a solution to this problem. No matter how hopeless the circumstance appears, I've always found an answer when I've turned to God.
