A child prays

One day when I woke up, I noticed something on my eye. My neighbor said it was a sty and that it would go away by itself. But it kept getting bigger.

Kids at school were saying, "You have something on your eye," or "What happened to your eye?" And I would tell them, "I don't know." I remembered that I was perfect and that a child of God could not have any flaw.

I kept praying and pretty soon the whole thing went away.

One day someone said that the growth was an infected tear duct and that I would have to get antibiotics and get it poked so it would drain. I stayed home the next day and called a Christian Science practitioner. He gave me some ideas to think about, and I prayed and read the Bible Lesson in the Christian Science Quarterly. I also read the Sentinel. When I woke up the next morning, the swelling had drained. I kept praying, and pretty soon the whole thing went away.

I am so thankful that I am a Christian Scientist. It has really helped a lot.
