YOUR LETTERS
I was at Los Angeles International Airport in mid-December when a man asked me, "Do you have some money to spare? I'm hungry." I really didn't have any to spare, and I was afraid he might spend it on alcohol. But the deep humility that I saw in his eyes pulled me back to talk to him.
It turned out that he was a sincere follower of Christ, and we had a spirit-filled talk about God and the Bible. Then I realized that I had several copies of the Sentinel in my backpack, including "You can help end world hunger" (November 27) and "Moments of richness" (December 11). He gladly received them. We then prayed the Lord's Prayer together on the sidewalk and parted.
That day, the Sentinel was truly manna from heaven for both of us.
