From our earliest ancestors huddled around a fire to chat rooms on the Internet, storytellers, lyricists, writers, and preachers know the power of language. So do people who say words they instantly regret.
It's true that we often find it hard to control our words. Sometimes our unconsidered words injure people. Why is it that we often fail to speak constructive words that heal and inspire?
The Apostle James asked, "Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter?" (James 3:11).
