Summer SOULstice
Brightly colored posters in the streets of Boston are announcing that, beginning June 20, children and their families will be able to enjoy "soul-filled activities and arts" at one of their favorite city places, the fountain at Christian Science Plaza.
A series of events arranged in collaboration with the Boston Symphony, Boston Public Library, Massachusetts Horticultural Society, Bible Discovery Place, and others, will be held on the plaza at 175 Huntington Avenue. The city has recently renamed this thoroughfare "The Avenue of the Arts."
One of the special attractions will be concerts every Tuesday at noon, which will include popular classics, jazz, and "world music." There will also be Bible reenactments, dramatic performances, arts and crafts stalls, plant-growing demonstrations, Scripture readings, and so on.
Enjoy 1 free Sentinel article or audio program each month, including content from 1898 to today.
