Two decades of Christian Science healing

Soon after I joined the Church of Christ, Scientist in 1980, I had several healings that galvanized my efforts to depend on spiritual healing. I was healed of headaches. In fact, I don't believe that I've worn sunglasses since (something I previously felt I needed to do because of the glare from a baler chute while I was making hay). An infected hand was healed, with new skin and hair soon appearing. A puncture wound was healed with treatment from a Christian Science practitioner.

To me the milestone came through the healing of inflammatory arthritis. At the time, I could not straighten my collar or even remove a bottle cap. The latter was especially hard for me because I had always been proud of my strength. I needed humility. To satisfy a family member, I went to a doctor. I was told the name for my problem and given some medication. However, I didn't feel right about taking the medication. In a short time I threw it out and relied on Christian Science. My healing soon came, for which I am very grateful. It has been permanent.
