To Our Readers

IF YOU'RE a regular reader of the Sentinel, you will have noticed that throughout the past month we've run a number of features dealing with women's issues. We've also noted significant contributions that women have made to the progress of humanity. Our sister publications, The Christian Science Journal, published monthly, and The Heralds of Christian Science, published monthly and quarterly in fourteen languages, have done likewise. In the United States, National languages, History Month is celebrated each year in March. And throughout the world, March 8 was proclaimed by the United Nations as "International Women's Day."

In our final issue of March, we've decided to publish a substantial extract from the special feature that the Heralds produced for their own March issues. We were so impressed by what the Herald editorial staff accomplished that we thought Sentinel readers would like to see some of their interviews with women from all across the globe. These interviews included people of various faiths who brought their unique spiritual perspectives to the absolutely vital role women have taken in establishing women's rights and in creating a better, more compassionate, more purposeful and satisfying world for all of us.
