Eating disorder permanently healed
The summer between my sophomore and junior years in college, I gained about twenty pounds. When I went back to school, I felt very self-conscious about my weight. However, the more I worried about it, the more it seemed that I was unable to control my eating. I continued to gain weight. I lamented over this to a friend. She told me that she also had a binge-eating problem, but was able to keep her weight down by vomiting after she ate, a practice known as bulimarexia. I soon found myself doing the same thing.
Since then, I have effortlessly maintained a normal weight.
