YOUR LETTERS

"These connections express that oneness upon which the whole world depends."

Thank you for the December 20 issue of the Sentinel. I'd like to share a healing it brought me. I wasn't feeling well. I'd gone back to bed and felt overwhelmed with pain and discomfort. I also had so much to do to get ready for Christmas. At first, I was just afraid—afraid that I wouldn't be able to do the things I needed to, that this special time would be taken over by illness. But then a good thought came: "I'm grateful I have a house to clean." That was followed by, "and a family to clean it for!" Then I thought about my church responsibilities. Again, thoughts of gratitude filled me. I was grateful there was a church and that I was a member of it. And then the thought came, "What is all this Christmas celebration about?" I needed to be more grateful for the most primary gifts of all — for God's love and for the presence of the Christ.

Then I read the Sentinel. The firsts article had me in tears. I felt the presence of the Christ. I felt filled with gratitude. The next article had the same effect, and so on. Soon I was no longer feeling any pain. But more than that, I had experienced real Christmas. So, thanks for the Sentinel. It reaches more people in more ways than can ever be told. I just wanted you to know about this one.
