Prayer about the environment
Translated from Portuguese
Manaus, the city where I live, has a hot and humid climate with frequent rains.
About two years ago, though, we had several months of completely different weather. There was no rain or wind, and the temperature rose a lot. The sky was always overcast, and smoke from fires set to clear the land would not disperse. The heat and the bad air made it difficult to breathe.
Also, we began to experience electricity shortages, which resulted in power outages. We'd be left in the dark, without air conditioning or even a fan. I experienced constant shortness of breath, panic, and the feeling that I was about to faint.
