A LESSON LEARNED ABOUT CHRISTMAS

One Christmas, my wife and I had a party. Friends came to help us celebrate. We sang carols and decorated the tree. The food was abundant and delicious. I thought, "How could any celebration of Christmas be more fun?"

Well, I was in for a surprise. We played a game, the object of which was to compose a sentence using the letters in the word Christmas for the first letter of each word in the sentence. Many witty sayings resulted, and we laughed a lot at each other's results.

But then one member of the group read his contribution:
Christ
Has
Revealed
Its
Self
To
Me
As
Science

When we heard his sentence, we sat speechless. How beautiful. How true! After a few moments of silence, we all agreed that he'd won the prize. More than that, he had helped us see Christmas in its true meaning. The light of Christ, God's manifestation to humanity, has been revealed to us as a provable Science—something we can count on to help and heal us. What a wonderful gift. "Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift" (II Cor. 9:15).
