Listening and learning as a child would
Find heaven on earth.
I was at a training conference and found myself questioning everything that was happening. I even began making comments to redirect the discussion. Occasionally, it occurred to me that maybe I should just listen as a little child would.
At one point, the facilitators gave everyone a small assignment. It was really quite simple, but I kept wanting my questions cleared up before proceeding. Finally, a friend said, "It's not astrophysics. Just do the assignment."
There was my wake-up call. Whether or not I trusted what the facilitators had said, did I have the childlikeness, the calm and trust, to recognize God's control in this activity? Could I listen for God's direction and discover how it was guiding all of us? To listen as a child is to have the humility to trust God and recognize that He is the all-knowing divine Mind, always present and governing every situation.
