Teenager tells of healing through prayer

After lifting weights and working out on the other equipment in physical education class, I began to feel dizzy. I managed to get dressed, but then had to sit down because I was so dizzy and was having trouble seeing. By this time, everyone had left the gym except for me and my friend Danny. I asked him to help me to the school clinic. When I got there, I lay down on one of the beds. The school nurse came in and took my blood pressure. She was very concerned because it was much too low, and she wanted to call an ambulance to take me to a hospital. I asked her to call my mom instead. When they couldn't reach my mom at work, they called my grandmother.

While I was waiting for my grandmother to come pick me up. I thought about what I had learned in Sunday School about my true identity as God's reflection. I kept repeating the Lord's Prayer, and knowing that none of this was true because I am God's perfect child. After a while, I began to feel better, and my sight began to improve. By the time my grandmother got to school, I was able to walk to the car without anyone's help.

On the drive home, my grandmother told me that after the school nurse had called her, she had called a Christian Science practitioner to pray for me. I was soon completely well, and I was back at school the next day. I am grateful to the practitioner and for Christian Science.
