You don't have to buy that

Have you ever gotten one of those telephone sales calls that come right at dinnertime? Even though the product or service might be a good one, it's clearly important to be an educated consumer, listening carefully before accepting any offers.

But what about some of the things we hear from people at work or from close friends or on the news? Are we buying into an attitude, a fear, any "mental purchase" that would drag our lives down or threaten our well-being?

Being a watchful and educated consumer in the mental realm is more important than you might know. The founder of this magazine writes, "Your decisions will master you, whichever direction they take" (Mary Baker Eddy, Science and Health, p. 392).
