NEVER STOP LOVING YOUR NEIGHBOR

During the time I was employed by a realty company, a beautiful estate came on the market. Since there were no living heirs, the estate was to be sold in court to the highest bidder. I told a friend about the property, and she gave me one of her friends' telephone numbers, explaining that this woman had always wanted to own this particular home.

I showed her the property, and she did want it. The next step was to make the bid in court. When I called to tell her the date for making the bid, however, I was put off by her secretary. For quite some time my numerous calls were not returned, and I was never able to make contact with her. Later I learned that someone else had made a bid on her behalf, the winning bid, as a matter of fact.

I was devastated, but I refused to react. Instead, I was determined to see this woman as God's perfect, honest, upright child, not as a mortal capable of doing something dishonorable. When Christ Jesus healed, he saw God's perfect, spiritual creation, not the opposite. And I knew that if I was to heal this situation and find a sense of peace, I must do the same.
