Constipation overcome
Recently I reread a passage from Science and Health that reminded me of a healing of constipation I had experienced a few years ago. This is the passage: "The sunlight glints from the church-dome, glances into the prison-cell, glides into the sick-chamber, brightens the flower, beautifies the landscape, blesses the earth" (p. 516).
As I sat struggling with the physical challenge, those words came to thought in a very picturesque way. Right where this blockage was holding me ransom, right there I could feel the sunlight of Truth setting the prisoner free. The relief was immediate.
Our family was introduced to Christian Science over three decades ago, when we were living in India, and we all have enjoyed the fruitage of its blessings through God's loving protection in our travels to many countries. Opportunities have opened up for both our daughters to study in the United States. And at the same time I was able to complete training as a Christian Science nurse, also in the United States.
