The end of back trouble
I was lying outside one day. When I started to get up to go inside, I was stopped almost immediately by a severe pain in my back. I had never had any problems with my back before, and it startled me. Moving carefully, I eventually managed to stand nearly upright. My back gradually improved as I began to walk. But the difficulty didn't go away, and I had many similar experiences after that. Many nights I would go to sleep or wake up with back pain.
I was in prison at the time this happened, and I began attending Christian Science services there shortly after my back first began bothering me. I had come to know about God's love for me some time before. I knew that my reality was in Spirit, and so must be in a state of grace forever. I also believed that sickness was a manifestation of fear at some level. I had not known, however, that Christian Science included so much of what I already felt to be true.
