CONQUERING FEAR
Recently I took a road test to receive my driver's license. I felt confident until I reached the road test site. When I met the instructor I immediately felt she was very unpleasant. Her attitude made me feel as if I were going to fail even before I had started the car.
As I began the test, however, I remembered that I didn't need to let fear control me. In Sunday School I had learned to turn to God for good thoughts. I thought of myself as driveing along God's holy highway. This helped me realize that I could leave the decisionmaking up to God.
By the time the test was over, I had proved to the instructor that I did indeed have the appropriate skills to receive my license. I think that the hardest part of the test was overcoming a sense of insecurity. I am proud of my accomplishment, and I am grateful that what I learned in Sunday School helped me prove man's God-given dominion.
