Opinions ... opinions. Then there's Truth
Everyone knows what's best for you, right? So, what does God have to say?
Generally speaking, people of all ages long for the freedom to do what they want. Young people long to be grown-up, drive a car, and have financial independence. Many people feel that retiring from the workplace will bring the freedom to pursue their own interests.
Yet many are finding that none of these things brings the real freedom that deep down they long for. Real, satisfying freedom is gained through demonstrating control and harmony in one's affairs in spite of circumstances, rather than because of some ideal situation. This kind of freedom comes only from learning what it means to govern oneself through discerning and obeying God's will.
Our heavenly Father, God, divine Love, is unlimited. So it's very natural to experience true freedom when one is expressing this infinite, boundless Love. This is God's will for man. To govern our affairs and thoughts harmoniously, we need to come into line with His will. Put another way, we gain control over our life through strict obedience to God.
