"At last! I'm free!"
God lifts you out of grief.
Nostalgia is quite popular; each person has his or her own "good old days," and when old friends get together they gladly recall happy, carefree times.
But what about less happy memories, ones of grief or burden, regret or shame? Sometimes they can seem to chain us to a past we either want to forget or refuse to forget, either out of a guilty feeling that we deserve to suffer, or because we don't want to give up the memory of someone or some opportunity we have lost.
