Dear Sentinel,
Dear Sentinel,
Hello. My name is Lucy. I have a cat named Marmalade. I live in Texas, and sometimes we have bad storms. One time we had hard rain and hail, and Marmalade was nowhere in the house. I got scared that she might get hurt. I knew I needed to pray.
I thought of Bible stories that I had learned in Sunday School—Daniel in the lions' den See Dan. 6:1-23 . and when Jesus stopped the storm. See Mark 4:35-41 . I thought that, just as Daniel knew he couldn't be hurt by the lions because God was helping him, Marmalade couldn't be hurt by the storm. This made me more comfortable that she could be protected and safe. I thought of Jesus' speaking to the storm and stopping it. He said, "Peace, be still." I knew Marmalade would be fine because God was caring for her. Soon, I could hear her at the door. She was soaking wet. I let her in and dried her inside of a pillowcase.
