DEVOTION OF THOUGHT: CONTINUING THE FOCUS
Regional meetings called by the Clerk of The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts, on behalf of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy have recently been held in thirty-three metropolitan areas in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Australia.
In a special meeting held in Boston, the Managing Publisher for the Writings of Mary Baker Eddy, Carol Hohle, said that Science and Health is now available not only in Christian Science Reading Rooms but in over 2,500 bookstores worldwide and is being distributed by the National Association of College Stores in the United States. In these and many other ways, she said, the book is beginning to fulfill its role as an educational source for the world, as its author expected that it would.
"Devotion of thought—which is a form of prayer," said Mrs. Hohle, "has brought to the fore the central role that Science and Health has in this movement, and its importance to the world. And with this devotion we have renewed our own individual relationship to the healing power of this book's message. This focus is not a project, or an event, or a campaign," she said. "It's about helping our fellowman. It's about offering solutions to a world that is reaching out for answers."
