Once I went to the library with my grandma and my brother....

Once I went to the library with my grandma and my brother. My finger got smashed in the car door. I hollered, "Help, help, I need your help." My grandma unlocked the doors. When I got my finger loose, we climbed back into the car.

My brother and I were crying, and my grandma wrapped my finger in some tissue. She held me on her lap, and she said, "Kimberly, you can't be out of God's protection." My brother and I stopped crying, and we all said the little children's prayer (see "Mother's New Year Gift to the Little Children," Miscellaneous Writings by Mary Baker Eddy, p. 400). I like to say this prayer because it makes me feel cozy and snuggled in God's arms. We also sang the hymn that begins "Shepherd, show me how to go" (Hymnal, No. 304). This is my favorite song that I sing in my Sunday School. It tells me I am perfect.

I told my grandma I was feeling better and wanted to go to the library instead of back home. Later she put a bandage on my finger. When my daddy came home at night and took off the bandage, my finger was not bleeding or smashed anymore. My finger was healed. My fingernail fell off after a few days, but my new fingernail grew back quickly. My finger is still perfect now.
