The truths I learned in the Christian Science Sunday School—of God's infinite love as Father-Mother, and of man as made in His likeness, perfect and complete—have been a firm foundation for my spiritual growth.

I have had many healings through my turning to God in prayer and in my study of Christian Science. Migraine headaches, a broken foot, and fears and pressures have yielded to the power of His healing presence. As Mrs. Eddy states in Unity of Good, "This false sense of substance must yield to His eternal presence, and so dissolve" (p. 60). The migraine headaches I had experienced for many years were very debilitating. As I continued my study of Christian Science and lived the spiritual ideas that I was learning, the headaches ceased to be a part of me. This healing has remained permanent for over ten years.

Migraine headaches, a broken foot, and fears and pressures have yielded to the power of God's healing presence.

In raising our seven children, Christian Science has met the individual needs of each child. One evening I arrived home to find my husband holding our seven-year-old son on his lap. The child was extremely feverish and began hallucinating. I immediately called a Christian Science practitioner to treat him through prayer. She very firmly, but with great love, spoke to me of God's all-presence, all-power, and all-knowledge. This child, she assured me, could never be separated from this all-embracing power. As she spoke to me, I saw the child go from thrashing about to his normal state as a peaceful, quiet, gentle young boy. He stayed in my husband's arms as the practitioner continued to talk to me. The thought that God's presence was there and caring for each one of us filled my thought with trust and assurance. When I hung up the telephone a few moments later, the child was completely healed. All evidence of the fever was gone, and he ran around, happy as usual. This was a wonderful proof to us of God's immediate care. Each one of our children has experienced God's unlimited care and love.
