Dear Sentinel
Dear Sentinel,
When I was in fourth grade, I had a wart on my left pinky that I was terribly embarrassed about. I write with my right hand, so it was easy to hide. But I really wanted to get rid of it.
My father was my Sunday School teacher at the time, so it was natural for me to go to him to help me pray. I prayed with the twenty-third Psalm because it is my favorite Psalm. My favorite verse is "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want" (verse 1). To me, it means that I don't need to be in want of anything, as I already have everything that I need. I thought to myself about how that also means nothing like a wart can be attached to me, because I don't have any use for it!
