Can God be found in cyberspace?
Can God be found in cyberspace?
From Beijing to London to New York to Sydney—and many points in between—people have been taking their first steps into the World Wide Web. Like other new frontiers, the Web has its share of opportunities and dangers. There are all kinds of influences on the Internet—many that are good and helpful, but others that would degrade or pollute the mental atmosphere.
How can we find the good and keep alert to what might be harmful? An interview with a man whose business is on the Web offers some helpful insights; an exploration of God's omnipresence and cyberspace delves into some of the spiritual issues that need to be watched.
Also this week: two articles on overcoming limitations and finding healing—one of illness caused by a carbon monoxide leak and the other of the effects of child abuse. Readers involved with education—whether as students or teachers—can check out "Getting the most out of your classes," and for anyone needing to give a talk or report, "What molds our speech?" has some helpful spiritual guidance.
