II Corinthians 5:8
Be confident, the apostle says ...
and be willing
to cease this constant battle with the body—
this futile, willful forcing of it
into health, beauty, fashionable form—
and be willing
mentally to turn away from this,
knowing, in Science, that the body is not
the definer, container, or ruler
of true identity,
and be willing, rather,
to take possession of it, See Mary Baker Eddy, Science and Health 392:24—393:15 .
this helpless innocent, See ibid. 437:8–19 .
and cherish yourself, not as mortal flesh,
but as a compound idea of Mind,
consciously, eternally alive in the kingdom of heaven,
and be confident,
and joyfully willing
here to find, as Jesus taught, man conformed to Christ,
"a unit, and therefore whole number," Mary Baker Eddy, Pulpit and Press 4:7.
perfect, immortal, beloved, complete,
the incorporeal son and daughter
of the incorporeal one and only
Father-Mother God.
