The power of innocence: a lesson from the resurrection
An interview with Ann Stewart of Los Altos, California.
Russ Gerber: Ann, we hear a lot today about children in trouble—gangs in the streets, guns in schools, teenage mothers, drug abuse, child abuse, and I could go on. Can the message of Christ Jesus' resurrection help in any way with this?
Ann C. Stewart: It seems to me that one of the great things the resurrection tells us is that we need to recognize and acknowledge the power of innocence. One of the great messages of the resurrection is the triumph of innocence, and we see innocence and purity revealing man's eternal relationship to God. It seems to me that this is a wonderful place for each of us to begin as we think about children today.
