A lifelong search for completeness led me down many paths

A lifelong search for completeness led me down many paths. I looked for it in promiscuity, drugs, alcohol, marriage, children, and in an array of self-help therapies, including psychiatry. None of these ever fulfilled that need for completeness. Stumbling upon Science and Health in the local library marked the "beginning of the end" in my search.

Although I felt I had turned my back on the teachings of the religion I was brought up in, they had had a far-reaching effect on my life and the way I viewed it. The introduction of Christian Science provided a new opportunity truly to understand God and man.

That God knew both good and evil, and that He was separated from man, who also knew both good and evil, who was a sinner and had to redeem himself, were just some of the concepts I had held. I was able to replace these concepts with the truth that was constantly revealed to me through praying and studying the Bible and Science and Health. The liberating ideas in these two books changed my thought and resulted in healings.
